Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia: Can You Handle the Truth?

Licence. The curmudgeons of an increasingly evil empire have the bit in their teeth now. The bold, brash, fake bravado of half a dozen U.S. presidents. The unbridled business privateering and profiteering, and the shattering of all laws of decency, this is what’s upon us. Nothing is out of bounds.

Vladimir Putin’s annual news conference some days ago hinted at the escalation from the west — Kremlin photo

Case in point, John E. Herbst, who’s the senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and former US ambassador to Ukraine and Uzbekistan. He’s the latest in a long string of bold faced liars hell bent on driving the world into World War III. Here, let me illustrate. This is the lead of his most recent “analysis” on the situation in Ukraine and now Kazakhstan:

“Thirty years ago, the Soviet Union collapsed in a largely bloodless way. But events in recent years have proved that bloodlessness to be only temporary. Russia’s war against Ukraine — with fourteen thousand Ukrainian fatalities thus far (and more in the offing if Moscow sends an invasion force of one hundred thousand into the country) — is the major proof. Its brief 2008 conflict in Georgia, meanwhile, caused hundreds of deaths.”

Herbst (at right) in his role transforming Ukraine in 2017 with the United States Institute for Peace. USIP is funded by the U.S. Congress, the Department of State, USAID, and the Department of Defense — U.S. Institute of Peace

Major proof. Here’s a term restructured to suit a renewed Russophobia. But wait a minute. The 14,000 casualties (13,000–13,200 killed UN estimate) in the Donbass region of Ukraine were not killed by Russians. All of the 5,785 DPR and LPR separatist forces were certainly killed by the U.S. backed Ukraine regime that overthrew President Viktor Yanukovych and his government. Furthermore, nearly all of the 3,393 civilians killed in this conflict were citizens of the Donbass region. Most of those from indescriminate bombing and shelling of that population.

And how about the hundreds of thousands that fled, not to the west, but eastward? In fact, the UKROPS forces continue to shell populated areas in the east of Ukraine. Proof? We must do justice to the dead of places like Luhansk, where Washington backed artillery slaughtered innocents daily. But, this is the Atlantic Council I profiled for RT some years back. And no, I was never paid by RT for any of my Op-Ed pieces, I’ve the emails to really “prove” that.

How about some real “proof” Mr. Herbst? We can prove that the United States and European allies helped plan, orchestrate, and perpetuate the Euromaidan uprisings. There is proof that a now deceased U.S. Senator John McCain was cheerleading from the grandstands while the streets of Kyiv and other Ukraine towns ran red with blood. There are telephone conversations, images, and video of U.S. State Department leadership saving things like “Fuck the EU” and planning for who Washington would “put” in power once the coup ended. Victorian Nuland telling then Ukraine ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt how things were going to “go” in Ukraine is something the Atlantic Council cannot erase.

John E. Herbst and all of his fellow “provers” will never admit the real truth of all the crises in former USSR republics. The reality of what we have been doing is so contrary to what the American people have been brainwashed with, it’s almost inconceivable that these elites pulled it off. But they did so only because of our own cognitive dissidence. Herbst is paid, when all is said and done, to perpetuate this lie. Everybody with a brain knows the Russians are only defending themselves from the unrelenting march of a cloaked empire. Let me reiterate, or cement this with the exact words then Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland to Pyatt:

OK. He’s now gotten both Serry and [UN Secretary General] Ban Ki-moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it and, you know, Fuck the EU.”

Finally, much has been made of the reunion of the Crimea region with Russia. Western analysts always refer to the rejoining of Tsarist Crimea to the motherland as an “annexation” or in some cases an all out takeover. This is, of course, misleading. Russia took steps to safeguard for two legitimate reasons. Both of them fully within Washington’s plan for further expansion into Ukraine.

A familiar history taking shape in Kazakhstan. We must ask ourselves “Who’s behind it?” — Prachatai, January 7, 2022

First, Mr. Putin was forced to act in Donbass and in Crimea because of Russian speakers, ethnic groups who speak Russian as their primary language. Almost no one in the United States has been educated to understand the importance of an accepted national language. U.S. State Department personnel and CIA strategists, certainly are, however. The first act of the new regime put in place by Nuland and Co. was to try and get rid of Russian as an official language of Ukraine. By 23 February 2014, the Ukrainian Parliament voted to repeal a law intended to protect Russian speakers. Although it was not until 2019 that the west backed regime managed to upend the law, the thinkers in Washington knew full well the effects these actions would have.

Let me remind the Atlantic Council that on August 8, then Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed a new law, “On the principles of language politics,” that allowed cities and regions to pass legislation that would give Russian (or any other minority tongue) the status of an official language if 10 percent or more of the population uses that language as a native tongue. (Brookings Institute, 2012) This “analysis” proves western think tanks, and the people they do the “thinking” for, were trying to push Russian language out of the picture years before the Donbass/Crimea situation took shape. Mr. Herbst and his colleagues want us to forget about the nearly 2 million refugees who fled the Donbass region, not because of Russian artillery and guns, but because the Washington supported, Neo-Nazi infused Ukraine military fired indiscriminately. And while war is a horrible and unfair business, to suggest the separatists did all the killing is ludicrous.

Secondly, and most importantly from a geostrategic standpoint, Vladimir Putin was forced to act in Crimea because of Sevastopol (See geostrategic importance). My geography classes when I was a teacher learned about the world wars, the Black Sea, and the ultimate importance of this Crimea base to Russia (and the Soviet Union). But, most other American kids never even heard of the place. Again, American bureaucrats training for the foreign service certainly know all about Russia’s base for her Black Sea Fleet. Admirals and generals know too. And so does John (with his pants on fire) E. Herbst. I’ve no doubt he and his fellows will be training young minds to ignore the 3.5 million people in east Ukraine who require humanitarian assistance and protection due to widespread landmine and explosive hazards, escalating psychological trauma, and lack of access to basic services. This fact is just whitewashed by blaming the whole mess on Putin. As if anybody who cares, cannot see.

The most likely instigator of the current Kazakhstan chaos, the wanted billionaire oligarch Mukhtar Ablyazov

John Herbst on Twitter would be hilarious, if he were not so disgustingly rabid over Ukraine, supposed Kremlin aggression, Kazakhstan, energy wars, and the warmongering. Holy Mary and the saints. These people are in a feeding frenzie. Just follow and read from an objective standpoint. Not only is Herbst fanning the flames of all our war, he’s soliciting to train more American hegemony psychopaths.

“Applications have just opened for our @ACEurasia Congressional Fellowship. If you work on Capitol Hill and want to better understand pressing issues like Russia’s threats to escalate its war on Ukraine, this is for you.”

In other words (secret minion code), if you can help us turn Russia and China into the big bad wolf, and lie with your pants on fire too, the Atlantic Council is here to train you. No wonder the world is clueless about anything going on around us. Trillions are being spent training the soldiers of stupidity and misinformation. Meanwhile, they are blaming Russia for the misinformation!

Finally, in the recent uprisings in Kazakhstan we see a two fold strategy by the western liberal order. First, Mr. Putin and the Russians are being forced to take decisive action to secure Russia’s southern border and interests. These violent demonstrations are not just a coincidence. If the U.S. and allies can manage another color revolution on Russia’s southern border, Putin will be hard pressed to defend on two fronts.

Secondly, and more importantly, Washington is seeking to weaken the Russia-China bond. Since China also has territorial and strategic interests in Kazakhstan, the “thinkers” who run our country’s hegemony hope to drive a wedge between Putin and Xi Jinping. This nincompoop John E. Herbst actually betrays the plan in his crazy assessment. All anyone has to do to find out what’s coming, is to read between the lines of Atlantic Council narratives (Herbst in the ongoing subversion of Ukraine). Here’s a section of the cheerleading by the former U.S. Ambassador:

“The crisis in the Central Asian former Soviet republic fuses geopolitical issues across Eurasia, from Moscow’s efforts to cow the West and subjugate Ukraine to its delicate relationship with China — and the implications are enormous.”

The implications are “enormous,” and this is how 21st century leadership ratikonalizes telling big-fat-lies to the world. Russia has attacked no one. NATO, a military alliance with but one perceived foe, has advance on Russia continually. The Russians have nowhere else to retreat to. This is fact, not fiction. Just reverse the tables if you think I am the liar here. Imagine a Russia formed military alliance forging into Mexico, Canada, or anywhere outside her own borders. Putin’s attacked nobody so far, and he’s blamed for everything from gas prices to the JFK assassination. A real assault would give the Atlantic Council geniuses a brain hemorrhage.

President Putin held an informal meeting with all CIS leaders the other day. The situation seems clear, Washington’s “strategy” is understood and being countered. It should be noted, that none of these countries have instigated a regime change in the west — Kremlin photo

As for people like Mr. Herbst, it’s time we called a spade, a spade. The big lie will end us all, sooner or later. Let’s not forget the highly censored Murder in Samarkand, by former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray, somebody who knows what the CIA and MI6 are capable of. In that one the Atlantic Council genius seemed to favor authoritarian Uzbekistan leader Islam Karimov, when it was convenient to do so. Supposedly, Herbst argued with his Brit counterpart that supporting a tyrant was part of a strategy to “protect the lifestyle of the US.”

And there it is, like a bolt of lightning in the pitch of dark. Just sit and think, you’ll get it.
